Where stand up pouches work best
Snack mixes, coffee and tea, pet treats, candy, dried fruit, jerky, bath salts and supplements all sell well in stand up pouches. The front and back panels leave plenty of room for strong branding and nutrition or usage copy, and the bottom gusset can carry print too.
Films and structures
Most stand-up pouches are laminated: a printed polypropylene (PP) or polyethylene (PE) outer film bonded to a polyethylene sealant layer that gives the pouch its strength and a reliable seal. Clear, white and metallized films can be combined, for example a metallized pouch with a clear window so shoppers see what is inside. We suggest a structure based on what you are packing.
Printing, closures and finishes
Artwork is flexo printed in up to 8 colors and sealed under the laminate, so it will not scuff in transit. We add press-to-close zippers in house, along with tear notches, hang holes and rounded corners, and matte, gloss or soft-touch finishes change how the pouch feels in hand.
Sizes and customization
Every pouch is made to the width, height and gusset depth your product needs, from sample packs to family-size bags. Send us your fill weight, or a sample of the product, and we will help you size it.
Why Metro for stand-up pouches
We print, laminate and form the pouches ourselves in Brooklyn, so there is no hand-off between a printer and a converter. Orders typically ship 3–4 weeks after you approve the artwork.
