Where wicketed bags are used
Bakery items, produce, frozen foods, ice, food service portions and everyday retail goods. Anywhere bags are filled in volume, wicketed bags help the crew or the machine move faster.
Film choices
Side-weld bags are made from polyethylene film selected for clarity, stiffness and how it handles on your bagger. Clear film shows the product, while white film hides it or makes the print pop. Our films are FDA-compliant for food contact, which matters for bakery, produce and frozen lines. For fresh produce, an anti-fog coating keeps condensation from clouding the bag, so greens and berries stay visible.
Printing
Brand graphics, product names, barcodes and handling instructions are flexo printed onto the film in up to 8 colors before the bags are made, with inks matched to your existing packaging. Clear areas can be left in the design so the product shows.
Wickets, lips and sizes
Bags come wicketed or loose. For wicketed bags we match the wicket style, hole pattern, lip and bag dimensions to your equipment so the bags feed cleanly. Tell us your machine and we will take it from there.
Why Metro
Because we print and make bags in the same Brooklyn plant, a new size or artwork change does not mean coordinating two vendors. Expect your bags about 3–4 weeks after artwork approval.
